Senior Contaminated Sites Specialist

I am looking for a Senior Contaminated Sites Specialist who wants to take the reins, lead exciting projects, and play a key role in growing the contaminated sites division. You’ll be instrumental in driving strategic initiatives, designing cutting-edge assessments and remediation plans, and shaping the future of the Vancouver office.

Location: Vancouver, BC (Hybrid)

Field Component: Less than 10% (no overnight travel)

Salary: $100,000 - $140,000 DOE, with benefits, pension, and overtime (OT will rarely be required)

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and grow a team: Be at the helm of our contaminated sites team, mentoring junior staff and choosing the best talent to join your division.
  • Strategic growth: Drive the expansion of the team with your input on marketing, hiring, and technical strategies.
  • Innovative project management: Design, oversee, and manage complex contaminated site assessments and remediation projects.
  • Client and business development: Build strong relationships with clients, lead proposal preparation, and shape new opportunities for growth.
  • Hands-on technical oversight: Provide guidance on data interpretation, risk assessments, and ensure high-quality project execution.
  • Mentorship: Nurture the next generation of professionals through mentorship and leadership.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or graduate degree in relevant science fields, eligible for professional registration (e.g., AScT, P.Ag., R.P.Bio., P.Geo., P.Eng.).
  • 10-15 years of contaminated sites experience, including Phase I to III ESA assessments and BC Ministry of Environment standards.
  • Proven expertise in contaminated hydrogeology, site remediation, and risk assessments.
  • Strong communication skills, organizational skills, and leadership abilities.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.
